Garden Houses

We offer Scandinavian-designed Garden Houses made of wood that are delivered as kits. The convenient kits include everything you need to easily assemble your own Garden House, or if you prefer, our assembly team can do it for you. You can place your order through the website or by calling us. If you have any questions regarding optional extras, delivery, assembly services, or other queries, do not hesitate to contact us!

We have two variants of kits – log-built small houses and prefabricated houses. Log construction is a traditional craft that results in sturdy houses that are easy to assemble. The logs are laid horizontally, layer by layer, and joined at the corners with notches. Prefabricated houses come in pre-manufactured building elements that are easily assembled. Our house variants come in many different models and sizes.

Consider this when buying a garden house

A good starting point is to consider how you plan to use your garden house. Is the intention for the house to be used year-round, or only during the summer months? Are you considering generating extra income by renting the house out when it's not in use, thus subsidizing the cost of the house over time? It’s important to have a clear idea of how frequently and in what way you will use your garden house. This will make the decision-making process regarding insulation, size, and model easier. Most people prefer to have a house that can be used year-round. In that case, it's a good idea to opt for insulation right from the start, as it is much easier to add insulation during the assembly process.

Small house floor plan

Once you’ve thought about how you plan to use the house, the next step is to consider the floor plan. How do you want to utilize the space to get the most out of your garden house? With the option of up to four meters in ceiling height, you can create a loft space that doesn’t count towards the total living area. With careful planning, you can include a kitchen, a bathroom, a compact bedroom, and a living room on the ground floor, as well as a loft with a double bed. By using a sofa bed, you can accommodate up to six people.

What heating source should you use?

If you want to use the garden house during the fall and winter months, we have two great tips. The first is to invest in proper insulation and a high-quality air source heat pump. Air source heat pumps are both quick and more cost-effective than electric heating, and they also work excellently as a supplementary heat source. It’s a good idea to go for a heat pump with two indoor units, which can be installed in different rooms to ensure more even and efficient heat distribution throughout the garden house. The second tip is to install a wood stove. Not only does it provide quick warmth, but it also creates a cozy atmosphere during chilly autumn mornings. Just make sure to choose a stove that is adjustable and can be used on low power, as otherwise, it might get too warm in a smaller house. If the garden house is only used during the summer months, electric heaters are usually sufficient.

Buying a garden house as a kit

Our garden houses are delivered as kits with pre-cut profiles and clear manuals. You choose the type of surface treatment you want for the house and can also customize it with various options such as insulation, roofing material, or wood thickness. This flexibility allows you to tailor the house to your specific preferences and needs while keeping it cost-effective compared to a turnkey house. The best advice when it comes to the assembly is to take your time and think through the different steps of the building process. If you have any questions along the way, our experts are just a phone call away and can guide you. For the smoothest experience, we offer assembly services at a fixed price. Our skilled carpenters assemble hundreds of garden houses each year – so you can relax while they take care of the setup. It won’t take many days before the house is in place in your garden. This way, you can be confident that everything is done correctly from the start, including the proper installation routes for electricians and plumbers, minimizing potential wait times and extra costs.
